One of the local kangaroos seeks shelter from the heat
We're having a few days with above average summer heat. A couple of days ago it reached 36.2°C (97°F ) here atop the Great Dividing Range near Armidale.
In such heat the local macropods usually seek shelter from the direct sun by lying in the shade of trees or other vegetation. On this hot day, though, one of the local 'roos decided that seeking shade on our verandah was a good bet. It hung around there for a couple of hours.
