Early morning 'roos
The dogs and I walk for about 7 km (4 miles) each morning just after sunrise before the temperature rises too much (we've seen maximum temperatures of around 36 degC (97 degF) recently).
Living rurally we usually see tens of kangaroos, and a handful of wallabies, on our morning walks. These local macropods are quite used to us and are alert to us rather than alarmed by us - and therefore just stand and watch us pass by.
Here's such an encounter.
