Today’s photoblog records a visit to the New England Regional Art Museum for lunch, followed by a look around.
An audioBlog accompanies these photographs [3.3 Mbytes, 7 min 43 sec duration]. The audio commentary is also distributed as a podcast. You need to subscribe to my RSS2 feed towards the bottom of the right hand column on this page and you need to use aggregator software capable of utilising this.
Half scene. Half seen. The gauze prevents us seeing much of the top half of the frame, and the composition of the photograph prevents from seeing the faces.
Half half-seen. The person in the foreground is half-seen, by way of composition and silhouette. The person in the foreground prevents us from seeing the person in the background.
We’re at the Art Museum, is this a picture in a frame, or a scene through a window?
On to the exhibition. A lifesize rhino made from old clothing.
“blank vacant deadpan expressionless”. One of the viewing halls.
A religious(?) figure sits in front of a window. The figure lit by low artificial light, outside lit by hard high-altitude sunlight. A challenge to get the lighting mix reasonably balanced without being able to use a flash.
