Lichen on dead branch of a tree
Nature never fails to amaze me. Having been dragged past a tree which the dogs wanted to sniff around I noticed this lichen. It was right at the end of a dead branch of the tree. The recent rain has caused the lichen to absorb the moisture and swell out. It looked quite alien.
