I went down to the Canoe Slalom course at The Armidale School at lunchtime. I’m not quite sure how this works. Do they have a pump to make the water flow? Or do they wait until the creek is up?

Magpie Lark A Magpie -Lark sits on this branch calling out calling out pea-o-wit”. Translated I think that means hoy, watch out for this bloke pointing his camera at you”!

White-faced Heron A White-Faced Heron swoops low over the ground before landing on the other side of the creek (see next photograph).

Canoe slalom course A view of the Canoe Slalom course at The Armidale School. The heron is now in the shadows in the lower centre of the image.

Go Roosters! Back at the car park I notice that somebody is a keen supporter of the Sydney Roosters (a rugby league team).
