All these photographs were taken within 100m of one another down by Dumaresq Creek in the centre of Armidale at lunchtime today.

Corner shop The corner shop where many students from the New England Institute of Technical and Further Education stock up on snack-food and other goodies.

Water hydrant / bridge across creek Water, albeit with none in sight, features in this photograph. Water hydrant in the foreground, bridge over the Dumaresq Creek across the road, and former bath-house in the background. Part of the outdoor swimming comples can just be seen in blue in the top left corner.

Tree plus shadow on lawn A large deciduous tree just beginning to sprout new leaves sits on the eastern side of one of the TAFE buildings. I was quite taken with the shape generated by its shadow on the lawn.
