Waiting

Good: I’ve got the dogs trained to go to the side of the road and sit when they hear a vehicle approaching.

Bad: They do the same if they hear a vehicle that is either still kilometres away, or on a different road altogether.

We can wait at the side of the road for some time trying to work out if there really is something coming our way.
