Tristan’s here!
After waiting nearly 9 months since ordering the vehicle, I took delivery of Tristan Troopy at 5 pm on Saturday June 21. Being Winter Solstice, the shortest day, it was dark by the time I left the Toyota dealership so I didn’t make any special detour to test Tristan out. I drove the normal 22 km home but did elect to do so via the “scenic route” on the dirt.
It’ll take some time to familiarise myself with the vehicle and accessories. I’ll describe that journey in the coming months.

My first impressions of Tristan were my height above other vehicles, even when compared to my Hilux, and “My!, what a sweet sounding engine”.
